WHO MAKES UP THE TEAM?

The Coon Rapids Cardinals Bowling Club is made up of students from grades 7-12 that attend a Coon Rapids school or reside within the city. Our team is part of a district wide fall co-ed league that features 129 Varsity and 119 Junior Varsity teams with more than 1,575 students competing throughout the state.

IS THIS INDIVIDUAL OR TEAM COMPETITION?

This is a team driven program. We compete using the baker system, which is 5 or more bowlers each bowling up to two frames to compete a single game. Each bowler will also have an individual conference stat. There are several post season opportunities for each bowler.

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE PRACTICE?

Our home center is Classic Bowl located in Coon Rapids. Practices take place Mondays from 3:30-4:30PM and Wednesdays 3:30-5:00PM. Bowlers and parents will be contacted if practice times were to change. During practices coaches work with bowlers on mechanics and drills to help improve their games. Bowlers can also expect team practice and fun challenges.

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE COMPETE?

Our matches take place on Thursdays starting at 3:30PM. Matches are held at other bowling centers in the local area (Ham Lake, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Andover, and Ramsey). Our team will compete against other teams from Anoka, Andover, Blaine, and Spring Lake Park. A full season scheduled containing match times and locations will be provided at the beginning of the season once finalized.

IS THERE A UNIFORM?
Yes. During competition bowlers are required to wear the provided program jersey with their last name, school, and number. The bowler is also required to wear black slacks unless there is a medical reason with a doctors note.
